PhD positions in Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at University of Pittsburgh (Pitt) are available at Spring 2018 and Fall 2018 to work in Data Science Lab with Dr. Heng Huang, who is John A. Jurenko Endowed Full Professor at Pitt.

Desirable applicants should have STRONG motivation toward high quality research in Machine Learning, Big Data Mining, Computer Vision, Bioinformatics, Medical Image Computing. Dr. Huang's group has published more than 140 papers in top conferences, such as ICML, NIPS, KDD, RECOMB, ISMB, ICCV, CVPR, IJCAI, AAAI, SIGIR, etc.

Pitt Global ranking is 47 based on U.S. News & World Report 2017.
